Wabash River Ride

The 34th Annual Wabash River Ride will be held on Saturday, August 25 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Join us for well organized and supported rides of 35, 50, 72 or 108 miles through some of the most beautiful parts of Tippecanoe, Fountain and Warren counties. Enjoy scenic vistas of the Wabash River, Big Pine Creek and Rob Roy covered bridge. There are great routes for riders of all levels, and it ain’t just corn fields you’ll be viewing!

To fuel your ride, we have a wonderful selection of edibles planned including great stuff from some of our sponsors, like bread from Great Harvest and watermelon from Pleasant Acre Farms. We’ll continue our renowned tradition of home baked cookies from our club members, and have a real good barbecue lunch planned for you when you finish the ride.

This year riders who pre-register will get a Ride Day Benefits Card that will provide them with after ride extras like showers at a local gym and discounts at local bike shops and at local ice cream stores. You even get a discount at the Uptown Jazz and Blues Festival (5:00 p.m. to midnight in downtown Lafayette) the same day as the ride. Come for the cycling and stay for the music!

We are proud to have a charity partnership with Food Finders Food Bank, and a portion of your registration fees will go to feed the less fortunate. Food Finders Food Bank serves 16 counties in central Indiana, supporting pantries, shelters, and programs to assist children and families. We will host a food drive at the ride start, so bring canned goods or other non-perishables to contribute!

Pre-register on line at Active for just $25 through August 12, with lunch and the ride day benefits card included. Registration after August 12 will be $30, including lunch, with the benefits card available for a modest fee of $5. For those who want to spend the night, here are some local hotels and campsites.

Put August 25 on your calendar and join us for a great ride!
