Membership Information
The Wabash River Cycle Club (WRCC) prides itself on giving cyclists of all levels the opportunities they need to make cycling a fulfilling experience. Founded in 1978, the WRCC was formed to promote cycling in the area. The club caters to the recreational cyclist and it brings people of diversified backgrounds together. Whether you are a novice, enjoying an occasional leisurely ride or a riding "animal" set on making or breaking a personal record, the WRCC offers a variety of activities guaranteed to keep you busy. We invite you to come ride with us. You can find the appropriate ride by consulting our Ride Categories for the average speed and the Mileage column, which can be found on the back side of the calendar, for the planned distance of a particular ride. Naturally, we expect people who ride with us routinely will become club members and enjoy all of the benefits.
The WRCC:
Promotes bicycling in the Wabash River corridor by staging regular events at parks and recreational facilities along the Wabash River.
Offers a ride schedule for all levels of cycling enthusiasts throughout the year for exercise and enjoyment.
Provides social interaction for the enjoyment of cyclists, their families and friends.
Makes a constructive contribution to the advancement of the cycling environment in the Greater Lafayette area and beyond.
Encourages bicycle safety by our example and cooperation with other safety oriented groups.
